The weather is getting cooler and the atmosphere spookier. In that spirit, the Laurens County Public Library’s program “Pumpkin Fest” will take place. Join library staff in Laurens Tuesday, October 22 at 6pm and in Clinton the following Tuesday, October 29 at 6pm for this family-friendly event. There won’t be any sharp knives or gooey, messy pumpkin slime, though.

“We’ll be using festive and geometric-shaped foam stickers and pipe cleaners,” assures Caitlin Bellinger, Youth Services Coordinator. “We want to make sure patrons of all ages can participate.” Bellinger also mentioned the first twenty families in the door will receive a free pumpkin to decorate. All patrons will get hot apple cider.

The Laurens County Library Youth Services is happy to offer a welcoming environment for children and their families. The library has resources on parenting for parents as well as grandparents who are raising grandchildren. For information on Youth Services programming, patrons may call the Laurens Public Library at 864-681-7323 or visit our website at http://www.lcpl.org/youth-services/.
