1000 Books Before Kindergarten
A program for Laurens County youth -ages birth to 5- done in partnership with Laurens County First Steps .
The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. Read a book to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to read 1000 books (yes, you can repeat books) before your little one starts kindergarten. Sound hard? Not if you read just one book a night: that is 365 books a year, 730 books in two years, and 1095 books in three years. Sign up and your child’s picture will be posted in the library. You are your child’s first teacher!
For more information about this program, please check out the 1000 Books website.
