*The Laurens County Library Headquarters has a variety of fiction and non-fiction books for all ages, child, teen and adult. The circulating collection includes large print books, books on tape and videos. A variety of magazines, newspapers and other periodicals are available for browsing and check out. *A core reference section and access to other off-site sources provide additional resources for ready reference and research. Materials can be obtained from other libraries in the US through interlibrary loan.
*The South Carolina Room, an extensive local history and genealogy collection is located at the Laurens Library. *Private study rooms are available during library hours on a first-come, first-serve basis.
*A large sculpture designed and built by Laurens District 55 students with the aid of artist-in-residence Bob Doster, internationally acclaimed artist and sculptor, stands on the grounds of the library. *Two murals on the walls of the children's area are a memorial to Margaret Haynes, former children's librarian. The scenes were painted by Skip Shelton and assistants.
