Bring your arrowheads, pottery shards and any other Native American finds to the Laurens Library where a panel of archaeologists will be identifying, aging and documenting Native American artifacts. Not only will you find out more about your artifact, but you will help to document South Carolina’s prehistoric past. The information gathered will benefit the Research Division of the SC Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology and help researchers better understand the technologies employed by the native peoples in making and using their stone tools and clay pottery and the distribution patterns of those antiquities across the landscape. The panel will be in the meeting room of the Laurens Library on March 23 from 9:30 to 1:00 pm.
